Has anyone got any links to good design guides for injection moulding? It can be a link to something that's already on the web, or something that you've written yourself.

I'll start with a couple I found on the web:
From efunda: http://www.efunda.com/DesignStandards/plastic_design/plastic_intro.cfm
From DSM Engineering Plastics: http://www.dsm.com/en_US/html/dep/coring.htm

Please post any link you find on this thread. I think when we have a good list we can rate them all and choose the best ones for linking to as a resource on the homepage perhaps.

I have some articles that could be of use for you if you send me your email I will send them to you, it is mainly about Conformal Cooling method for Injection Molding. This method reduces cycle time by at least 40% sometimes even up to 70%. This method is about putting cooling and or heating channels within the tool or tool insert. You can not CNC these they would have to be done using a DMLS machine. However traditionally these parts from the DMLS machine will last longer and of course get you parts much faster with this method. The process does cost a bit more than CNC but it is highly worth it!
