Overmolding Electronics

We are getting ready to bring our first product to market. We are located in the Southeast USA.

It is a wearable device that needs to be over-molded for the purposes of water resistance. We are open to discussion on whether we use a two part urethane siicone or something like TechnoMelt.

We are having a horrible time finding a company that is repsonsive or that will follow through. We are looking for recommendations on solid companies that have a great track record of under-promising and over-delivering.

Is there ANYBODY out there whe has had exceptioanl experiences ?

Obviously, not familiar with your design but we have used macromelt overmolding on a few different PCAs. Not wearable technology but generally work with Cavist Manufacturing. http://cavist.com/

Thank you for this, however, Cavist was part of Moldman, which has been purchased by Ellsworth adhesives and is the company that has been least responsive.
 
Yes Cavist sold the rights to the Moldman machines because they wanted to focus on the manufacturing and molding process. You can work with Cavist directly to mold the parts and gain feedback. Cavist still does our parts on the Moldman machines they just no longer sell the Moldman machines if you want to bring the process in house. I can send you a contact for the president of Cavist or use their contact on their website and you should get a response. They normally are very responsive more me less than 5 hrs.

We contacted Cavist and they will not quote our project unless they can build the circuit boards for us and provide the overmolding.

Seems they have become a Contract Manufacturer.
