For 3D Modeling of mechanical parts which is the best software? I need help

I use Accu Trans.It is very useful editing those 3D models nad drawings.The index,coloring can also be retained when transferring files.

I would like to suggest you use SolidWorks, UG/NX, CREO software. I do hope these information will be useful for you.
 
Previously I have used Accu Trans .But I am planning to move to Autocad 2013 version.It has more improved Command line,improved arrays and exciting new documentation model which make it a perfect package for 3D modeling.

For me it comes down to $$....from what I've seen looking for contract Mech. Design Engineer positions recently, with companies wanting 2000-4000 hours on any given system: SW brings about 25-35/hour. UG 40-50/hr. Catia 60-70/hr. Pro-E can be all over the place...25-40/hour. I came from UG to SW and found after about a week I was rolling. I tried Catia V5 and it is nothing like SW...steep curve but you can get things done if you follow the rules...very unforgiving....and the workbench methodology takes some getting used to. Pro-E I've not been on much at all except to convert some models before a change over. AutoCAD is just dumb unless you need to do Civil/Architectural type stuff... light 3d and 2d layouts. just my opinion.
 
For 3D Modeling, I must say SolidWorks is the best software. This software is very much user friendly, easy to learn and use also. This is very useful for both designers and engineers.
 
Nice discussion here.I also think Solidworks have some extra advantage when doing 3D,but as a Autocad fan I think Autocad is not so far behind.

Solidworks!! Easier to use and there are far more users willing to help with solidworks when it comes to tutorials. Translators are the best when transferring parasolids as well.
